Nexstem Secures $3.5 Million to Drive Advanced Brain-Computer Interface Development

Date:

Deep-tech startup Nexstem has successfully raised $3.5 million in a funding round led by InfoEdge, Zupee, Smile Group, and Gruhas, founded by Nikhil Kamath and Abhijeet Pai. The funding will propel Nexstem’s efforts to scale its innovative Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) ecosystem, expand its intellectual property (IP) portfolio, and accelerate biosignal infrastructure deployment.

Founded in 2020 by Siddhant Dangi and Deepansh Goyal, Nexstem focuses on creating advanced, non-invasive BCI solutions to make BCI technology more accessible. Nexstem’s flagship product, the Instinct suite, leverages artificial intelligence and an onboard compute module to analyze various biosignals from the human body, allowing for direct communication between the brain and external devices.

The Instinct development kit (devkit) serves as a comprehensive BCI platform for researchers, academics, and innovators aiming to simplify proof-of-concept development. It offers a robust toolkit that combines hardware, SDKs, APIs, and real-time biosignal algorithms, streamlining the creation of applications that leverage neural data.

The Bengaluru-based company has gained notable industry recognition from organizations like Microsoft for Startups, NASSCOM, and VIVA Tech Paris, underlining its impact in the BCI space. With this new funding, Nexstem aims to foster advancements in brain-computer interaction, opening doors for researchers, clinicians, and developers to explore new applications of BCI technology.
