Social Hardware Secures Rs 3.2 Crore in Seed Round to Expand Assistive Tech and Robotics Solutions.

Assistive technology startup Social Hardware has raised Rs 3.2 crore in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures, with participation from Ivyleague Ventures and Soonicorn Ventures. The funds will be used to fuel the company’s growth through go-to-market (GTM) strategies, strengthen its marketing and sales teams, and expand research and development (R&D) and manufacturing capabilities.

Social Hardware, co-founded by Abhit KumarCameron Norris, and Raghavendran Arunachalam, specializes in developing assistive devicesbionics, and teleoperated robotic systems designed for high-risk operations. These innovative solutions serve industries such as manufacturinginfrastructuredefense, and aerospace, enhancing safety and operational efficiency in hazardous environments.

With a team of 17 members, the company operates out of Bengaluru, with a corporate office in Hebbal and an R&D facility in Rajajinagar. Social Hardware currently has a production capacity of 12 units for FY 2024-25 and plans to triple it to 36 units by FY26, aiming for a revenue target of Rs 24.76 crore.

The funding will also help the startup establish a state-of-the-art R&D facility, boosting its capacity for innovation and growth in the assistive tech and robotics space.
