Pluckk Acquires Nutrition Brand Upnourish for $1.4 Million to Strengthen Wellness Offerings

Pluckk, a fresh fruits and vegetables platform, has acquired the nutrition brand Upnourish for $1.4 million as part of its strategy to expand its product offerings and tap into the growing nutrition and wellness market.

The acquisition will allow Pluckk to diversify into a new vertical, focusing on nutrition-based products. Upnourish, founded in 2021 by Aayushi and Kuonal Lakhapati, specializes in on-the-go meals such as smoothies, soups, bars, and personalized nutrition plans, catering to the health-conscious consumer.

Pluckk, known for its farm-to-table concept, offers an array of products, including fruits, vegetables, meal kits, juices, dips, soups, smoothies, and salads. The company operates in key cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Pune, selling its products via its app, website, and major e-commerce and quick commerce platforms, including Amazon, Swiggy Instamart, Zepto, Blinkit, and Flipkart Minutes.

In January 2022, Pluckk raised $5 million in seed funding from Exponentia Ventures, and in 2023, it secured an undisclosed amount of funding from Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor Khan. The Upnourish acquisition marks Pluckk’s strategic shift towards expanding its reach in the health and nutrition space, enhancing its wellness-focused offerings.
