CHOSEN Skincare Secures $1.2 Million in Seed Funding to Expand Operations.

Date:

Chennai-based skincare startup CHOSEN has successfully raised $1.2 million in its seed round, drawing support primarily from friends and family. This funding builds on an earlier equity-free grant of $100,000 from Peak XV Partners, awarded through the SPARK program for women entrepreneurs.

The new capital will be utilized to expand CHOSEN’s team and bolster its supply chain capabilities. Founded by cosmetic dermatologist Dr Renita Rajan, the startup is dedicated to creating innovative skincare products through advanced patent technologies and is exploring IoT-driven skincare solutions.

CHOSEN’s achievements have garnered significant attention, including recognition in Peak XV’s cohort of women-led startups. Over the past four years, the company has developed a robust multi-channel ecosystem of highly effective cosmetic products specifically designed for Indian skin types. Currently, CHOSEN offers 34 SKUs with plans to introduce 12 additional products soon and several more within the next 18 months.

With this fresh influx of capital, CHOSEN anticipates a two-fold increase in scale during the current fiscal year, positioning itself for significant growth and a strengthened market presence.
