AI-enabled mixed reality (MR) publishing platform Flam has successfully raised Rs 38 crore ($4.5 million) in a pre-Series A funding round. The investment comes from prominent backers including Turbostart, Twin Ventures, Alphatron Capital, various angel investors, and multiple family offices. Existing supporters such as San Francisco-based Inventus Capital Partners, SVQ, and 9Unicorns (now rebranded as 100 Unicorns) also participated in this round.
As detailed in a recent press release, Flam plans to use the fresh capital to broaden the reach of its innovative MR platform across North America, Europe, and the MENA region.
Founded by Shourya Agarwal, Flam has positioned itself at the forefront of the MR publishing industry by offering interactive content that users can access through mobile cameras. The platform aims to revolutionize marketing by transforming traditional print, out-of-home (OOH), television, and digital advertisements into immersive experiences for consumers. Notable brands and entities like Britannia, Netflix, Wargaming, AJIO, Heeramandi, WPP, and Indian politician Shashi Tharoor have already utilized Flam’s capabilities.
Flam’s technology is device-agnostic, functioning seamlessly across all Android and iOS mobile devices. This versatility allows for the rapid creation and deployment of MR content, setting it apart in the competitive tech landscape. The platform is recognized for its swift image recognition and superior image and ground tracking abilities, which are powered by advanced AI algorithms.
With this significant infusion of capital, Flam is well-positioned to enhance its platform and expand its global footprint, promising to continue pushing the boundaries of how brands engage with their audiences through mixed reality.
