Pfizer Backs Six Promising Startups in Healthcare Through INDovation Program, Driving Innovation in Diagnostics and Patient Care.

Date:

In a bid to advance healthcare innovation in India, Pfizer, in collaboration with the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER)-Ahmedabad, the Department of Pharmaceuticals (DoP), NITI Aayog, and Social Alpha, has selected six pioneering startups as winners of the INDovation program. This marks the latest chapter of Pfizer’s flagship initiative focused on healthcare startups aiming to revolutionize patient care through innovative screening and diagnostic solutions.

Launched in February 2024, the partnership received applications from over 200 startups nationwide, each proposing creative solutions to address timely and cost-effective healthcare diagnostics. After rigorous evaluation, the final six startups were chosen based on their technological innovation, competitive edge, scalability, financial feasibility, and the potential impact of their solutions.

Each selected startup will be awarded a grant of Rs 25 lakh from Pfizer to support the development and scaling of their solutions. In addition, NIPER-Ahmedabad will offer comprehensive incubation support, further facilitating these startups’ journey from lab to market. This initiative also includes support for pre-clinical and clinical studies, aligning with the DoP’s mission to nurture healthcare innovations that can effectively bridge gaps in India’s healthcare landscape.

The selected startups are:

  • Aarca Research – working on advanced diagnostic solutions,
  • Babycue – innovating in neonatal and pediatric health monitoring,
  • Biolockey Healthworks – focusing on data-driven health insights,
  • Brela Innovations – creating accessible health screening tools,
  • RNT Health Insights – advancing real-time diagnostics, and
  • Utopic Tech – enhancing efficiency in health data management.

Pfizer’s commitment to supporting these startups underlines its dedication to impactful healthcare advancements. This support will empower these ventures to bring their groundbreaking solutions to market, fostering a healthcare ecosystem that is more accessible, cost-effective, and capable of meeting India’s healthcare challenges.
